Lunch and the Gospel
DougK: So I met my pastor for lunch and we had some good food and great fellowship around the Bible and what God is doing. After we were done eating our waitress (Nikki) asked if we needed anything else. We said no and then Pastor asked Nikki if she would do him a favor. She said sure. He said 22 years ago someone shared something with him that changed his life. He then gave her a Good Test tract and said will you do me a favor and read this. She agreed and then went back to the kitchen. About 30 seconds later she comes out and says, “I failed the test!” We both smiled and said - we did too! Pastor went on to share the fact that we have all failed the Ten Commandments and we are all guilty and destined for hell when we die. She said she would try to “do better” and clean up her life going forward. He said that if she were perfect for the rest of her life she would still be guilty based on what she has done until now. Then he shared the Gospel - and the good news of the Savior. He then told her that she needs to repent and put her trust in Jesus Christ alone. She said she would consider intently. We then prayed after she left and went on with our discussion - praise God what a privilege!
