What do I say?
Some of us are not sure what to say to strangers when we give them a tract…try this…
What do you think happens to you when you die?
We all know that 10 out of 10 people die.
The Bible says that after death is Judgment before God who is holy and perfect. Will you be innocent or guilty? Remember that God’s standard for “good” is the Ten Commandments.
Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything or cheated? Have you ever looked at another person with lust? Have you ever used God’s name as a curse word?
If you have ever broken even one of the 10 commandments, you will be guilty and the Bible says the penalty (or wages/payment) for your sin is to go to a literal place called hell and then eternity in a literal place called the lake of fire.
The good news is that God sent His only Son (God in human flesh) to earth to live a sinless life, to suffer, to be murdered, to be buried, and then to rise again from the grave on the third day defeating sin and death. When Jesus was on the cross, He took God’s wrath that was coming our way upon Himself. He became sin for us - who knew no sin - that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
Most people don’t realize that on the cross a legal transaction took place. You broke God’s law, but Jesus paid your fine!
However, if you do not accept Jesus’ payment for our fine, you choose to face God without the righteousness of Christ on Judgment Day. It would be like being on an airplane that is going to crash and holding the parachute in your hand (believing that it could surely save you) and not putting it on before you jump!
Many people believe in Jesus - the Bible says even devils believe. You have to put on the Lord Jesus Christ - put your total trust in Him in order to be saved from the wrath to come.
The Bible says that God now commands all men everywhere to repent (turn from our sins) and trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. If you will call upon Jesus to save you, the Bible says that your sin debt will be marked as “PAID IN FULL” and on Judgment Day your court case will be legally dismissed.
That is the best deal on the planet - we cast our guilty sin-stained life at the foot of the blood-stained cross now (in this short life on earth) and in exchange we get eternal life with God and the opportunity to finally give God the glory that He deserves!
That is the greatest story ever told. It never gets old to me. I love to tell the story.
Are you ready for Judgment Day?
You never know what a day may bring forth…every second 2 people die…
